Fairport, NY - Casa Larga Vineyards is introducing a new addition to their tasting options in the wine shop. Chocolate and cheese pairings will make their debut on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12. Casa Larga is pairing flights of their wines with chocolates from Hedonist Artisan Chocolates and cheese from Muranda Cheese. The new tastings are $7.00 and include a flight of five wines paired with chocolate or cheese. Guests can reserve their spot for the Mother's Day debut by buying tasting tickets on Casa Larga's website. Winery tours will also be given on that Sunday, leaving at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. "Part of the eat local/drink local movement is that food and drink from the same area taste best together" says Andrea Colaruotolo-O'Neill, Director of Marketing at Casa Larga. "We're excited to partner with Hedonist and Muranda so our customers can taste some local pairings." Wine & Chocolate Pairing Dry Riesling paired with white chocolate with almonds, cranberries and nutmeg CLV Chardonnay paired with dark chocolate with raspberry, espresso and candied pecans Tapestry paired with milk chocolate with peanuts, apricots and rosemary Rosso paired with milk chocolate with walnuts and roasted cocoa beans with rosemary and salt Meritage paired with dark chocolate and roasted dark cocoa beans with walnuts and salt Wine & Cheese Pairing The Wines: Dry Rose, Medium Dry Riesling, Lilac Hill, Cab-Merlot and Tramonto The Cheese: Red Buddy, a raw milk cheese that is aged for at least 120 days. The flavor starts out like an aged Swiss and finishes like a cheddar. Colby Cheese, a mild and gentle baby cheddar with a creamy texture. |
