Fairport, NY - This summer Casa Larga Vineyards is adding the Farm to Table Marketplace, a farmers market at the winery, showcasing the best the area has to offer. Starting on Sunday, June 21, the Marketplace will host New York farms every Sunday through October 25.
Casa Larga is a proud member of Pride of New York and the Farm Bureau of New York State, both programs that support agricultural products that are grown, produced and processed in New York State. "To us, the idea of buy local and eat local are at the heart of everything we do," comments Cathy Fabretti, director of business to business wine sales and sponsorships at Casa Larga and organizer of the Marketplace. "We recently added local craft beers in our wine shop and a few years ago added local cheeses and other New York products. The Marketplace is another way to encourage the community to support local agricultural businesses."
The Farm to Table Marketplace will start on Sunday, June 21 and will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m every Sunday, rain or shine, throughout the summer until October 25 at Casa Larga Vineyards. The Marketplace will not be held on Sunday, September 13 due to the annual Purple Foot Festival.
