New Hope Mills Cafe & Store Celebrate Grand Opening
Local Pancake Mix Manufacturer provides food, music & games
Auburn, NY (October 12, 2017): New Hope Mills, the third-generation pancake mix manufacturer, will be celebrating their Cafe & Store Grand Opening on October 27 and 28.
The remodeled cafe and store, a recent update to the New Hope Mills plant in Auburn, NY, will celebrate with music, samples, games, prizes, and specials throughout the two-day event. Coupons for New Hope Mills pancake and waffle mixes will be distributed. Attendees can also view the 150-year-old milling equipment on display, meet the owner and his family, and learn more about a long-standing business that’s been an important part of Cayuga County’s economy for nearly 195 years.
Live bands, including Lock 52 Jazz Band, Stevie Tombstone, The Cadley’s and Rebecca Colleen will provide music on both Friday and Saturday. Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony, pancake hors-d’oeuvres and live music. The group Old Time Hoedown will be calling old-fashioned dances from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.
The grand opening will include unique games like the Flapjack Stack and Flyin’ Flapjacks. The cafe will also host a pancake eating contest at 10:00 am Saturday morning. Participants can sign-up in advance.

New Hope Mills' donut machine will produce fresh hot apple cider donuts. Along with the 17 different pancake flavors, featured menu items like Jalapeño Cheddar Corn Pancake Tacos and Bacon Oatmeal will be served.
