OCRRA to hold green gardening truckload sale at Destiny USA

As the gardening and rain season approaches, OCRRA will once again offer a compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale for the green thumbs of Syracuse!

Syracuse, NY­ Destiny USA is excited to team with OCRRA, which will hold their yearly gardening sale at Destiny USA’s Solar Street Parking lot Saturday, June 8th from 8am-4pm. This community event is proudly sponsored by the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency in association with the Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County and Destiny USA.

OCRRA will be offer a variety of items to help conserve environmental resources. These items include, a Rain Barrel which minimizes water bills and help re- duce excess runoff, compost bins, compost turners and a kitchen caddy that can be used to easily collect kitchen waste and transport it to your compost bin.

“It’s great to get the community more involved and raise awareness of ways to go green at home,” Rob Schoeneck, General Manager of Destiny USA, stated. “OCRRA is a great partner to Destiny USA and we’re always looking for innovative new ways to stay involved.”

The Solar Street parking lot is located southeast of Hiawatha and the 81 intersection. The sale will take place rain or shine, and items will be for sale while supplies last.
