OPEN HOUSE AT THE CURTISS MUSEUM

Celebration with Free Admission on Saturday, June 25

The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum will hold an Open House on Saturday, June 25, during museum hours, 9-5, to celebrate the completion of a major interior renovation.  The public is invited free of charge to attend the open house and see the renovations, which include new lobby carpeting, new bathrooms, enlarged gift shop, second floor offices, kitchen and conference room. Highlights of the day, in addition to visiting the museum itself, will be free hot dogs, giveaways and an opportunity to become a museum member at a special reduced-price for one year.   

The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum, which is located at 8419 State Rt. 54 in Hammondsport, is open every Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM and every Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM through October 31.  The museum is home to a priceless collection relating to early aviation, bicycle and motorcycle transportation and local history. The Museum celebrates the life and accomplishments of Glenn Curtiss, who is remembered as the Father of Naval Aviation and the Founder of the American Aircraft Industry.
