The Rockwell Museum Presents 8th Annual Apartment Tour – Urban Spaces, Historic Places

Sep 23rd, 2015

The Rockwell Museum is pleased to present the Eighth Annual Apartment Tour − an exclusive self-guided tour of downtown Corning and Market Street Apartments, including the newly renovated War Memorial Library and an architectural tour of The Rockwell Museum.

The Apartment Tour will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from noon to 4:00 p.m. The Rockwell will host a dessert reception on their terrace, weather permitting, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The tour is open for ages 16 and up; tickets are $20.00 per person.

Participants should check-in at The Rockwell Museum to receive the tour map. Participants should plan to walk up several flights of stairs and are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes. For the privacy of apartment residents, exact locations are not divulged until the day of the event, to ticket-holders only.

"Part of the fun is not knowing which apartments you'll get to see year over year. Receiving your map is like opening up a long awaited package!" says Rockwell Museum representative Willa Vogel.

In the past, this event has been organized by Pam Weachock, previous owner of Market Street Coffee and Tea, to benefit local non-profit organizations. Upon Pam's recent retirement, she graciously offered the event to The Rockwell. Proceeds from the $20-per-ticket sales will benefit The Rockwell's education programs.

Patty Campbell, Organizer of the event says, "We are so flattered that Pam passed the torch on to The Rockwell. It's our pleasure to provide such a fun event that the community looks forward to each year."

Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.rockwellmuseum.org/events, or at The Rockwell Museum admission desk (111 Cedar Street, Corning, NY) between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door the day of the event.
