Enter the First Annual Windmill Chili Cook Off!
Chefs start at 8:00AM
Tastings start at 12 Noon
Tickets are $1 anyone wishing to taste and judge. One ticket = one taste and one vote
CATEGORIES ARE: Best Overall, Best Tasting and Most Unusual.
Once tabulated, Prizes will be awarded to each winner with a matching contribution to a local charity.
Cook Off Contestant Guidelines:
- Tables will be provided for each contestant located under the big pavilion.
- Electricity will be available; cooking appliances will not be provided.
- Pre-Prepped ingredients are allowable, Pre-cooked Chili is not eligible.
- Contestants are expected “cook” their chili at their table from 8:00am -12:00 noon.
- Judging will take place thereafter with tickets being sold to customers for $1.00 which will allow them to taste each contestants offering. They must have a ticket to participate.
- They will also be provided 3 tickets for casting their votes at the end of the tasting. It is expected to end at 1:00PM
- There are 3 judging categories: Best Overall, Best Tasting & Most Unusual.
- Prizes will be awarded based upon the number of tickets sold.
- 50% to the Best Overall
- 30% to Best Tasting
- 20% for Most unusual
- The Windmill will provide a matching contribution up to $250.00 to a local Charity.
