Painted Bar Stables offers two days of horseback riding youth program in the winter. This is a family run co-ed program with limited availability (10 riders) for children 10-15 years old. All camp weeks will be from 9:00am to 3:30pm.
Winter Break: February 17-21
Spring Break: April 14-18
$100 per Day
$450 per Week
All riders will be assigned their own horse for the week and will take two lessons each day: an barn on a daily topic lesson and a trail riding lesson. Because Painted Bar Stables specializes in trail riding, all lessons and experiences will be geared towards encouraging our riders to develop the following skills: Relationship Building with their Horse, Problem Solving and Dealing with Fea, Barn and Stable Management.
Themed Barn Lessons will be:
- MONDAY: Horsemanship and Horse Behavior
- TUESDAY: Equine Movement & Biomechanics
- WEDNEDAY: Colors and Genetics
- THURSDAY: Barrel Racing and Rodeo Games
- FRIDAY: Obstacles and Working Cattle
