Spring Break Activities at the Rockwell Museum of Western Art

CORNING, NY – Families with children of all ages are invited to journey to the West at the Rockwell Museum of Western Art on Monday, April 1 through Friday, April 5. Museum members and kids and teens (19 & under) are free. Adults pay once and can attend the rest of the week for free! Spring Break Family Activities Monday, April 1 through Friday, April 5 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., every day Visitors can make their own photography themed art projects every day. Monday: Try your hand at altering photographs using markers and oil pastels! Tuesday: Make your own solar powered prints. A different art project will be offered should Mother Nature not cooperate! Wednesday: Add some color to black-and-white photographs. Create your own hand painted photograph! Thursday: Take part of a picture and expand it into your original artwork! Friday: Before cameras, artists painted images of the West to show people back home. Design your own postcard to send to someone special! Explore photography with our interactive gallery activities. Monday - Caricatures Tuesday - Explore the History of Photography Wednesday - Smart Phone Photography Thursday - Rules to Take Great Pictures Friday - Art Hunts and ArtPacks Now through April 2013, enjoy free admission every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. As always, kids and teens (19 & under) receive free admission every day. The Museum offers a special $4.00 admission rate to local residents with zip codes beginning with 148, 149, or 169. -30-
