Three Brothers Wineries and Estates Announces Decorated Winemaker to join Winemaking Team

Three Brothers Wineries and Estates, located in the Finger Lakes, is proud toannounce Aaron Roisen as the Estate’s newest member of the Winemaking Team.

Roisen’s career in the wine industry began when he planted 10 acres of wine grapes on his family’s corn andsoybean farm in Dawson, Minnesota. After securing vines in the ground, he chose to educate himself furtherthrough both an advanced degree and experiential training in the wine industry. Late in 2000, Roisen movedto Marlborough, New Zealand, where he pursued his degree in Winemaking and Viticulture from the NelsonMarlborough Institute of Technology. Once conferred, Aaron stayed in New Zealand where he joined the redwine production team at South Pacific Cellars. Ready to return to the US in 2003, Aaron accepted the job asAssistant Winemaker at Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellar on Seneca Lake and made the move fromMarlborough to the Finger Lakes. Aaron has since called the Finger Lakes his home, making wine for AtwaterWinery and Hosmer Winery on Cayuga Lake, where he was the head winemaker from 2007. Aaron joined theThree Brothers team at the beginning of 2017.

During his time in the Finger Lakes, Aaron has received many national and international awards including“Best Dry Riesling” at the 2012 Finger Lakes A.V.A Wine Competition and “Best New York State RieslingProducer” at the 2015 Berlin International Wine Competition. Roisen scored 90 points in Wine Enthusiast forRieslings he made in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and for a Pinot Noir he made in 2015. His Chardonnay wines havegarnered consecutive “Best Buys” by Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator recently scored one of his Rieslings90 points.

“I met Aaron a few years ago at an industry event We have always had great conversations about things thatare happening in the cellar,” says Justin Paolicelli, Winemaker at Three Brothers Wineries. “When he showedinterest in joining our team, I was very excited. I love his progressive style of winemaking and the wealth ofexperience he brings to the table.”

The Three Brothers Wineries and Estates campus houses three wineries and a microbrewery all within walkingdistance of each other, offering a distinctively different ambiance on the 47-acre farm and property.Established in 2007, Stony Lonesome Wine Cellars, Passion Feet Vineyards and Wine Barn, Bagg Dare WineCompany and War Horse Brewing Co. see visitation of 100,000+ visitors each year, with continuous annualgrowth.
