THRILLS & CHILLS ABOUND THIS FALL IN TWAIN COUNTRY!

From leaf peepers to thrill seekers, fall in the Finger Lakes brings an influx of visitors, and the

Chemung County Chamber of Commerce's Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is working to lure

them locally with the annual return of Thrills & Chills, a month-long promotion of Halloween and

harvest time happenings. A sampling of seasonal fun includes:

• Friday, September 25th, Hill Top Inn will host a Farm to Table Dinner at Chamberlain Acres

Perennial Nursery. The evening will celebrate local farms, wine and beer. Reservations can be made

• Monday evenings in October, Twilight Cemetery Tours at Woodlawn will be provided in partnership

with Mark Delgrosso, of Mark Twain Country Tours and the Chemung County Historical Society. The

one-hour twilight tours will depart from the Walnut Street entry to Woodlawn Cemetery and reveal

tales of Mark Twain and others who've gone before us. Reservations can be made by calling (607)

• Saturday, October 3rd & Sunday, October 4th, The Starlite Room will present The Mind Invader, an

evening of magic, mindreading and mayhem with international mindreading master, Erik Dobell. For

• Saturday, October 10th, Southern Tier Kayak Tours will offer a guided Leaf Peeping Paddle on the

Chemung River, winding through glacier-cut cliffs and filled with spectacular foliage. No experience

• Friday, October 23rd & Saturday, October 24th, the 9th Annual Ghost Walk through Woodlawn

Cemetery will return with a series of lantern-lit strolls to hear first-hand accounts of history as told

by tenants of the cemetery. Reservations can be made by contacting the Chemung Valley History

• Saturday, October 24th will bring both haunted and not so haunted happenings at Tanglewood Nature

Center. The day will start with Tangle with Zombies 5K, a trail race with brain-hungry, virus-spreading

zombies, followed by Haunted Happenings, a daylong family friendly fall celebration with hayrides and

• On Wednesday, October 28th, the Clemens Center will present Joshua Kane in Gothic at Midnight.

This award-winning show of hilarity & horror pays tribute to Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Dickens and

• Sunday, November 1st & Monday, November 2nd, Charlie's Café will again offer a Blind Harvest

Dinner, a truly unique experience where diners will be served a multi-course, gourmet dinner & wine
