Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition Awards Goose Watch Winery with "Best Traminette"

Goose Watch Winery has been making an impression at 2013 wine competitions and recently won another four medals, two of which were gold,  and "Best Traminette" at the Winemaker Challenge International in San Diego, California.

The Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition is a unique wine competition judged exclusively by prominent winemakers from across the United States and is one of three international wine competitions in the "Challenge" series.

Gold medals were awarded to Goose Watch's 2011 Riesling Gewürztraminer and the 2011 Traminette, which also won "Best Traminette".  The 2011 Riesling Gewürztraminer, a dry blend of 60% Riesling and 40% Gewürztraminer, has now won six gold medals.  The 2011 Traminette has three gold medals and a "Best of" award to follow up the 2010 vintage which won five gold, three double gold, and three "Best of" awards. Goose Watch Winery was also awarded silver medals for its 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2011 Viognier.

Goose Watch Winery, located on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, is owned by the Peterson Family and specializes in producing premium wines that are unlike the traditional selections found at most wineries. The winery also operates a tasting room in Lake Placid.
