Winery's popular Hallo-wine Spooktacular The best adult Halloween costume party is Saturday, October 27

Oct 09th, 2018

Halloween in the Finger Lakes wouldn’t be complete without Americana Vineyards Winery's annual Hallo-wine Spooktacular. The winery has a frightfully entertaining evening planned for their guests Saturday, October 27, from 8:00pm until the clock strikes midnight.

"Every year we have a theme, and this year it's Fantasy Kingdoms" announced Joe Gober, the winery’s charismatic owner. "If you're a fan of Game of Thrones, Grimm, Dungeon & Dragons, or even the more realistic Vikings, you're going to love this year's theme. Because this is the chance to bring your favorite TV, movie, novel and video game fantasy characters to life, and win some pretty great prizes!"

This annual event is in its sixteenth year and is a Finger Lakes tradition, drawing return guests from all over the Finger Lakes and as far as Rochester and Syracuse. "We've been getting calls since July asking about the theme," explains Butch Newhart, the winery's Director. "People can't wait to start getting their costumes together."

While it's not mandatory to come in costume, most people do. And this year, there will be a costume contest with three categories: Best Fantasy Character, Best Fantasy Royalty and Best Off Theme. Winners will be selected around 10:30 and each will receive a gift basket of Americana Wine and other ghoulish goodies.

In addition to the eye-candy a great costume party creates, there will be the famous herd of pumpkins carved by the winery staff, and the winery's pups, Maverick and Lilly, making their appearance at this seasonal favorite -- likely in costume! Music will be provided by Elephant Sound. And, as always, Crystal Lake Café will be providing fiendishly good treats, with the winery selling wine by the bottle or glass, and beer by the pint or growler.

“The first glass of wine is on us!” Joe points out.

Attendance is limited to 400 guests who must be 21 or over. Admission is just $15 per person, and $10 for wine industry employees and the winery's Patriots Club members. People are strongly encouraged to RSVP or buy their tickets in advance as soon as possible by calling 888-600-8067.

Joe invites everyone to come out, “If you've never been to this party, you're in for such a good time! And if you're coming for a second, third or even sixteenth year, we're so excited to have you back!”

Americana Vineyards Winery, Bacchus Brewing Co. Taproom and the Crystal Lake Café is located at 4367 East Covert Road in Interlaken, about 15 minutes north of Ithaca. Event updates and details can be found on the winery's website and on their Facebook page.
