Finger Lakes Events Calendar

Festivals, Happy Hour, Live Music, Theatre, and More!

It doesn’t matter what your interests are or who you’re in the Finger Lakes with, you can always find a great event to enrich your time in the region with those you care about.

Events take place all year round in the Finger Lakes region. From lakeside (and on the lake) events in the summer to harvest activities in the fall, snowmobiling or snowshoeing in the winter, and festivals in the springtime! Step inside a glassmaker’s studio to blow your own glass, stroll Main Street on a food tour, or gather for live music and theater performances. Browse the list of Finger Lakes events below or search the specific dates you will be visiting to see everything going on in the region.

Great Events that Happen Every Year

Below, you will find dozens of great events happening throughout the year with many of them happening annually. If you have memories of favorite annual Finger Lakes events from childhood such as cardboard boat regattas, hot air balloon festivals, cheese, apple or pumpkin festivals, to name a few, it’s likely that event that still takes place or, has likely improved your enjoyment. If you see a special event that piques your interest but can’t make it, click on the event anyway, it might be coming back next year!

Events Added Daily

Make sure to check back frequently to see if any other great events have been added. Events are added daily by businesses from every sector and interest so if there is nothing that sparks your interest now, there very well could be soon!

To Draw is to See, June 11

Drawing Basics Workshops with Kristin Malone

Friday, June 11th, 10a-4p

The process of drawing is a way of slowing down, looking, seeing, and centering.

This workshop is an introduction to some basic approaches to drawing what we see. It is designed for those who have little or no instruction/experience, as well as those who want to start drawing again. It will include instruction, demonstrations, handouts, and plenty of practice and feedback. The emphasis will be on the process of drawing rather than on creating “finished” drawings.

Program Fee: $70

Please contact cobblestonespringsrc@gmail.com to register. Both programs for this weekend with an overnight stay in the mansion are available for $200. Please bring your own lunch, coffee and tea will be provided.

Some materials will be provided:
Drawing boards, paper, drawing pencils, sharpie markers
Participants are invited to bring a pencil or two and spiral bound sketchbooks if you’d like (about 9×12” or whatever you may have available).

Kristin Malone is a versatile artist who lives and works in Rochester, New York. She has been a teacher in the visual arts since graduating from Nazareth College of Rochester and receiving her Masters in Art Education from Buffalo State. Kristin is a native of Elmira, New York and is always inspired by the landscape of the western New York Finger Lakes.
