Jolana will guide you through mastering smartphone photography and creating compelling product shots for your business . Whether you are a small business owner (or just starting!), content creator, or marketer, this workshop will help you gain an understanding of how to best utilize your phone for your photography needs. Jolana will guide you through creating compelling imagery, while receiving real-time feedback in this hands-on workshop! Both people and product photography will be addressed. Jolana is originally from the Czech Republic and received a M.S. in Psychology at St. John Fisher University. She is the owner of The Photography Experience, LLC, and has been in business for ten years servicing clients primarily in upstate New York, with several nationwide and international clients as well. In the last couple of years she has grown the business to having a photography studio in downtown Rochester, hiring an assistant, and adding several new services. Jolana has had her photographs published in several magazines and her photography has been exhibited internationally. Her passion is emotive photography that captures the sincere, the authentic, and the beautiful, whether it is for a family, a wedding, or a commercial client. Shakespeare on the Fly:

 We are a group of professional actors highly skilled in performing Shakespeare. What brings us together is a desire to perform Shakespeare's plays in a way akin to the way they would have been performed in his day. That is - actors gather for the first time with lines already memorized and have a rehearsal called "Burbage Time" (after Shakespeare's leading player Richard Burbage) in which entrances, exits, brawls, kisses, chases & dances are established. Then we sleep on it and perform for an audience the next day. What happens is nothing short of magical - the audience and actors are working out the story together in real time. 

Our mission is to go into communities & delight audiences with the pleasure, vitality, and accessibility of Shakespeare's language, while simultaneously taking that audience on an exploration of the provocative human themes that exist with his plays.

• This event is structured like our pre-2020 events:
  • Select a specific starting winery for you and your friends to start at. (This is where you’ll receive your souvenir wine glass and first potted herb or vegetable plant!)
  • Travel the trail as you please after your first stop, collecting potted herbs or vegetable plants as you go.
  • The ticket is good for BOTH days, so feel free to spread the wineries out over both days or come on just Saturday or just Sunday. (Pro-tip: Sunday tends to be a lighter day, so the wineries won’t be as crowded, which makes for an excellent time to visit and get more one-on-one attention with less waiting.)
• Groups are limited to 12.
• Expect diversity. Some wineries will be offering the standard bar tasting while others will be offering a sit-down experience that may take longer. Take your time during the day and enjoy both!

Herbs this year are Basil, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cilantro, Cherokee Purple Tomato, Oregano, Parsley, Rosemary, and Sweet Banana Pepper..

Each ticket is good for the whole weekend to visit each winery once. Single tickets are $65 and couples tickets are $95 (plus tax and service fee) and include:

• 1 wine and food pairing at each winery, per person
• 3 additional wine tastings per winery, per person
• 1 potted herb or vegetable plant per ticket (1 for a single ticket, 1 for a single DD ticket, and 1 for a couples ticket)
• 1 recipe collection per ticket
• 1 souvenir wine glass per person

Discounted designated driver tickets are also available. The DD gets all the same perks as a regular ticket, minus the wine. They also get a DD travel mug, rather than a wine glass. $45 for a single (plus tax and service fee).

· Line begins no sooner than 7 am each day.

· Any abandoned personal items left in the line area are considered abandoned and will be discarded.

· Wait times to get into the sale and at checkout fluctuate. We are unable to predict how long they will be or are.

· There are no exceptions for “skipping the line,” including (but not limited to) pregnant women, elderly persons or those in recovering health. We rely on our shoppers to use their best judgment for their own health and comfort and remind them that no sale is worth endangering their health and safety.

The sale:

· All sales are final.

· Warehouse Sale purchases are not applicable to our MacKenzie-Childs Rewards program and therefore do not earn MacKenzie-Childs Rewards points. MacKenzie-Childs Rewards redemptions will not be accepted at the Warehouse Sale event.

· Forms of payment accepted are cash and credit cards. No personal checks or MacKenzie-Childs gift cards can be accepted.

· Bags and shopping carts will be provided. Although we will have lots of carts at the sale, they are limited in number. We encourage you to bring your own cart, wagon, and/or reusable shopping bags to use while shopping, if you want to avoid waiting for one of our carts to become available. They will be checked upon entry to and exit from the sale.

· Warehouse Sale inventory is a mix of first-quality overstock and seconds. We strongly recommend that you inspect your purchases carefully for possible defects as all sales are final and items cannot be returned. It is the customer’s responsibility (not MacKenzie-Childs’) to check over products for any undesirable qualities prior to purchase.

· Product is restocked continually throughout the sale.

· We do not know or guarantee what will be offered at the Warehouse Sale, product- or inventory-wise, prior to or during the sale.

The Ghost is a trio featuring John Moran (bass) and Joey Sullivan (drums), which focuses on exploring, exploiting, interrogating, and unpacking the queer potential within the free jazz tradition. The Ghost released its last record, Vanished Pleasures, on Relative Pitch Records in 2023. The Ghost has performed around the US & Canada including Artists Space (NYC), Fire Museum (Philly), Elastic Arts (Chicago), Casa del Popolo (Montreal).

Michael Foster's work as a saxophonist & curator focuses on the overlap of queer identity/theory and free improvisation within myriad experimental mediums. As a saxophonist he often employs extensive instrumental preparations (such as drum heads, vibrators, amplification, balloons, etc) in conjunction with a broad dynamic tone that draws inspiration from the saxophonic tradition of Ben Webster and Sonny Rollins. I often work with Sarah Hennies, Lydia Lunch, Leila Bordreuil, William Parker, Weasel Walter, Psychic TV, Spiritualized, Han Bennink, and countless others. As a curator, Michael has run countless series throughout NYC including Queer Trash, a curatorial platform for LGBTQIA+ artists engaged in experimental performance practices. Queer Trash was awarded the 2018 Curatorial Fellowship at Issue Project Room and has since presented work at MoMA/PS1, and countless spaces around NYC.

2024 WAREHOUSE SALE INFORMATION

The line:

· Line begins no sooner than 7 am each day.

· Any abandoned personal items left in the line area are considered abandoned and will be discarded.

· Wait times to get into the sale and at checkout fluctuate. We are unable to predict how long they will be or are.

· There are no exceptions for “skipping the line,” including (but not limited to) pregnant women, elderly persons or those in recovering health. We rely on our shoppers to use their best judgment for their own health and comfort and remind them that no sale is worth endangering their health and safety.

The sale:

· All sales are final.

· Warehouse Sale purchases are not applicable to our MacKenzie-Childs Rewards program and therefore do not earn MacKenzie-Childs Rewards points. MacKenzie-Childs Rewards redemptions will not be accepted at the Warehouse Sale event.

· Forms of payment accepted are cash and credit cards. No personal checks or MacKenzie-Childs gift cards can be accepted.

· Bags and shopping carts will be provided. Although we will have lots of carts at the sale, they are limited in number. We encourage you to bring your own cart, wagon, and/or reusable shopping bags to use while shopping, if you want to avoid waiting for one of our carts to become available. They will be checked upon entry to and exit from the sale.

· Warehouse Sale inventory is a mix of first-quality overstock and seconds. We strongly recommend that you inspect your purchases carefully for possible defects as all sales are final and items cannot be returned. It is the customer’s responsibility (not MacKenzie-Childs’) to check over products for any undesirable qualities prior to purchase.

· Product is restocked continually throughout the sale.

· We do not know or guarantee what will be offered at the Warehouse Sale, product- or inventory-wise, prior to or during the sale.

· MacKenzie-Childs reserves the right to cap multiple purchases of a single product at the time of checkout without prior notice.

· Shipping options are not available. All items must be taken that day.

Go from the basement to the belvedere of Rose Hill Mansion.  Please be advised that there are many stairs to climb, a dirt floor basement and some confined spaces included in the tour.  The tour lasts an hour. • April 27/28 and May 4/5 from 10am to 5pm, both days
• 10 participating wineries
• This event is structured like our pre-2020 events:
  • Select a specific starting winery for you and your friends to start at. (This is where you’ll receive your souvenir wine glass and first potted herb or vegetable plant!)
  • Travel the trail as you please after your first stop, collecting potted herbs or vegetable plants as you go.
  • The ticket is good for BOTH days, so feel free to spread the wineries out over both days or come on just Saturday or just Sunday. (Pro-tip: Sunday tends to be a lighter day, so the wineries won’t be as crowded, which makes for an excellent time to visit and get more one-on-one attention with less waiting.)
• Groups are limited to 12.
• Expect diversity. Some wineries will be offering the standard bar tasting while others will be offering a sit-down experience that may take longer. Take your time during the day and enjoy both!

Herbs this year are Basil, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cilantro, Cherokee Purple Tomato, Dill, Oregano, Parsley, Rosemary, and Sweet Banana Pepper..

Tickets:

Each ticket is good for the whole weekend to visit each winery once. Single tickets are $65 and couples tickets are $95 (plus tax and service fee) and include:

• 1 wine and food pairing at each winery, per person
• 3 additional wine tastings per winery, per person
• 1 potted herb or vegetable plant per ticket (1 for a single ticket, 1 for a single DD ticket, and 1 for a couples ticket)
• 1 recipe collection per ticket
• 1 souvenir wine glass per person

Discounted designated driver tickets are also available. The DD gets all the same perks as a regular ticket, minus the wine. They also get a DD travel mug, rather than a wine glass. $45 for a single (plus tax and service fee).
