Visit Shops, Farms & Studios

From May 15 to October 31, 2023 visit as many participating shops, fiber farms and studios along the trail as you can. 

Pick up a passport at your first stop and have it stamped at every member shop you visit! At the end of the season, send a photo of your stamped passport in for a chance to win a $300, $150 or $75 gift card to the participating shop of your choice!

While summer is winding down, Market Street Social will be heating up when it presents its first annual End-of-Summer Music Fest, August 31st through September 3rd.   The “free” festival at Radisson Corning’s outdoor dining and entertainment venue is a celebration of the area’s vibrant music scene, with four days of local artists as well as games, activities, and summer foods and drinks.  In addition, there will be daily fundraising opportunities for the United Way of the Southern Tier, the beneficiary which is dedicated to taking care of people who need food or shelter.  This charitable effort for United Way will also coincide with the inauguration of the hotel’s voluntary employee donation program.  

The Music and Food
End-of-Summer Music Fest will kick off daily with an opening act before the nightly headliner takes the stage followed by a chill unplugged session under the stars to close things out (schedule follows below – on Aug 31 only a headliner will perform).   Besides the tunes, Executive Chef Bill Winnie will satisfy those insatiable summer appetites each day by manning the outdoor grill and personally cooking up a selection of sliders, Italian sausage, and chicken skewers to go along with other event F&B specials like flatbread pizzas, pretzel rods with cheddar beer sauce, and steamed clams as well as an assortment of refreshing adult slushies and buckets of beer.  Guests are also invited to further lean into summer nostalgia by cozying around Market Street Social’s firepits and trying their hand at roasting S’mores while the music plays on.  Market Street Social’s full contemporary American, farm-driven menu and beverage list will be available upon request too.  

The Activities and Accommodations 
When it comes to gaming, End-of-Summer Music Fest is pulling out all the stops.  Cornhole, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4, Bocce Ball, and Croquet will be among the various friendly tournaments running all weekend on Market Street Social’s sprawling lawns.  For $1, guests can purchase raffle tickets benefitting the event’s designated charity partner, United Way of the Southern Tier, for a chance at hand selected bottles of wine by the hotel’s Food & Beverage Director Will Bradley.   Also outside on the lawns will be free pre-fest yoga classes (with a donation to United Way) on Saturday and Sunday from 2 pm to 3 pm followed by complimentary mimosas.  To top it off, for all those who’d like to make it a multi-day experience, the Radisson is offering an End-of-Summer staycation package that includes guestroom accommodations with full breakfast for two, specialty cocktails for two, and S’mores kits they could enjoy together at Market Street Social.

When weather permits, performances will take place on our covered porch where music can be enjoyed from our tasting room, porch seating, and lawn seating.  Or, feel free to bring a picnic blanket or folding chairs for set up on the lawn.  In inclement weather, the show will go on in our Tasting Room.

Wines can also be purchased in our tasting room by the glass or by the bottle as well.  

Picnic items include local cheeses, breads by Blue Heron Bakery, salamis, ferments, olives, nuts, popcorn, pretzels, chips, crackers, pesto, specialty mustards, Hedonist chocolates, grape candy, etc...  We also offer local canned beer, kombucha, bottled soda, iced teas, and sparkling water. 

Glen Park Vineyards and the Tioga Arts Council (TAC) have teamed up to bring you an exhibition of paintings by local artist Suzanne M. Lachman.  Come enjoy the beauty of Suzanne's work in a beautiful winery!

We will be serving seasonally focused bites from Lake Life Catering and our wines by the flight, by the glass or bottle. Bring your family and friends to relax in our vineyard and lakeview seating area.

Join us for Hosmer Winery’s annual harvest party – Some Like It HOT! Enjoy delicious food from Blowin Smoke BBQ while jamming to live music from Hot Dogs & Gin. Wine, regional beer, mimosas, and special cocktails will be served by the glass. Dance, eat, drink, and play lawn games in the summer sun to help us kick off the beginning of harvest. This event is free admission to everyone - including children and children of the four-legged kind.

This is our most popular class! You'll learn basic paddling skills on the land, and then paddle around the North end of Canandaigua Lake. After paddleboarding, we'll come together as a group for a yoga class designed to ease tensions that might rise up from learning to balance on the board. The perfect mix of movement and stillness. This class is for all levels and no prior experience is required!

The Towpath Fife and Drum have been bringing our American Heritage to life for over 40 years. From the humble beginnings to becoming one of the largest world Traveling Family oriented Fife and Drum Corps in the country.

Join us every Sunday in summer for the eclectic and amazing music from Fabi World Music Summer Duo featuring Martini.

We have wines by the glass, by the bottle, and special wine cocktails available for you to enjoy as you take in the views and wonderful vibes.

Following upon the annual "Silent Movie under the Stars" event at Taughannock Falls State Park in August, Walk in the Park presents this encore episode from 2019. 
In 1915, Leo and Ted Wharton established a movie studio at Renwick Park (now Stewart Park) at the south end of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, NY. For several years they made numerous silent movies and weekly serials for national distribution using the town and area gorges. In this episode of Walk in the Park (219), we take a look at some of the dramatic ways they used our rugged gorges to simulate western or Alaskan movie settings. The Wharton Studio Museum project is working to create a museum in one of the old studio buildings at Stewart Park.

Walk in the Park is a non-commercial, public access TV series shown on Ithaca, NY cable channel 13, as well as online. Walk in the Park is produced by Owl Gorge Productions, a Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance partner.

Dan Melchior and the Depth Boys kick off their International Stalker Tour with an intimate show at the Grayhaven Motel in Ithaca, NY. The prolific and eclectic Dan Melchior first made a name for himself on the same Medway music scene that produced Billy Childish and Holly Golightly (and collaborated with both), but he's since gone on to carve out a more unique identity with his own take on lo-fi pop. Melchior began as an advocate of raw, scrappy music steeped in the blues on 1999's This Love Is Real, but 2002's Bitterness, Spite, Rage and Scorn added a large portion of low-tech garage rock. Gritty rock & roll with a pop sensibility defined 2011's Catbird and Cardinals, and he took a detour into experimental music with 2017's Melpomene, an exercise in distorted and manipulated sounds.

IEOGM (Vienna)

Importers Exporters of General Machandise is the recent collaboration of Marie Vermont and The Concept Horse (Daniel Friedman). The two employ a dynamic range of modular synth, electroacoustic and field recordings to achieve, in their words, “Sonic integrity, extreme panning, and knobknowledge”. Please welcome them during their rare Ithaca appearance as a duo.

MAGNETIC CORONER (Trumansburg)

The never-ending experiment of reusing found, forgotten and donated magnetic tape recordings. While recording has been slow, the Coroner still never sleeps. The focus of late has been quarter-inch based tape, so reels and 8 tracks can be expected.

Upstate NY heads will hopefully remember Ian’s many appearances at Syracuse’s Badlands, The Spark, and his own basement venue Additional Space. In 1915, Leo and Ted Wharton established a movie studio at Renwick Park (now Stewart Park) at the south end of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, NY. For several years they made numerous silent movies and weekly serials for national distribution using the town and area gorges. In this episode of Walk in the Park (219), we take a look at some of the dramatic ways they used our rugged gorges to simulate western or Alaskan movie settings. The Wharton Studio Museum project is working to create a museum in one of the old studio buildings at Stewart Park.

The Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts (TCFA) will hold a benefit music festival “GrassRoots Unplugged” on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday September 10, 2023 (The weekend after Labor Day), 12:30-10pm each day.

Tickets are available now at TCFA.live with Early Bird pricing of $35 per day and $60 for the entire weekend thru 9/6/2023.  Regular pricing after 9/6 of $45 per day and $80 for the entire weekend will be offered online and at the door. Children 12 and under are free.

All proceeds support TCFA's Capital Campaign to restore the building by raising funds to match a New York Council of the Arts (NYSCA) grant. The two day festival features a lineup of sixteen local performers with an outdoor stage on our lawn and an indoor stage with our fabulous dance floor.

This two-day festival, featuring some of the area's favorite performers from GrassRoots, will be our next big Capital Campaign event. It's 'Fewer Amps Help Us Revamp!’"

Austrian Chef, Erwin Schrottner of Cafe Katja in NYC will be onsite, cooking up delicious traditional, Austrian bites, and showcasing his culinary talents through cooking demonstrations. Tours through Chateau Frank’s sparkling cellar, Austrian live music, and of course, wine, will all contribute to the merriment of this festive event!

In Austria, a Heuriger is a celebration where local winemakers serve their new wine during the grape growing season. In 1784, Austrian Emperor Joseph II issued a decree that permitted all residents to open their establishments to sell and serve self-produced wine and juices. Ever since then, the Heuriger has been an annual tradition.

Erwin Schröttner is the owner of the Lower East Side eatery Café Katja in New York City. Growing up on a farm just outside of Graz, Styria, he developed an early interest in fresh and homemade food. At the age of 15, he started apprenticing in various restaurants and hotel kitchens, actively pursuing a culinary career. After a few stints in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, Erwin made his way to New York in 1998. There, he met his friend and business partner Andrew Chase. Together they worked on and off at Monkey Bar and the former Mark Hotel, for about eight years before eventually opening Café Katja on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. 

Upon arrival, you will receive a complimentary Dr. Frank wine glass and your Austrian passport. Your passport will be your guide throughout the Heuriger where you will explore through four different food and wine stations each representing regional Austrian dishes created by Chef Erwin Schrottner.

Treman State Park; we visit Pinnacle Rock and its accompanying unusual rock pool in Buttermilk Glen in Buttermilk Falls State Park in Ithaca; and then we pop to Taughannock Falls State Park and we compare the big falls to an even bigger one that looks much like it! We also watch and listen to Ithaca singer-songwriters Susan Lytle and Will Fudeman sing and play one of their favorites at Buttermilk Falls State Park.

Over the past century, millions of people have visited Robert H. Treman State Park in Ithaca, NY. But most may not have known who Treman was and why the park was named for him. Well that is changing. On September 23, 2023, the Friends of Robert H. Treman State Park, along with park staff and officials, and members of the Treman family, unveiled an outdoor interpretive sign answering this very question. See this sign (at the end of the video) and hear what they had to say about the remarkable park legacy of Robert H. Treman.

Robert H. Treman was a prominent Ithaca businessman and banker who loved our natural surroundings in the Finger Lakes. In 1920, he and his wife Laura donated nearly 400 acres of land surrounding Enfield Glen, one of the spectacular gorges surrounding Ithaca, to the people of the State of New York for the purpose of creating Enfield Glen State Park. Treman went on to lead in the creation of many more parks in the region. Following his death in 1937, Enfield Glen was renamed in his honor.

Join us for pizza by Toss N Fire, wine and music on the patio! Reservations are required. A $5 cover per person will be charged at the time of booking. Our tables seat up to 6 people. If you have a group larger than 6, you will need to book multiple tables or call the winery for availability. If you are booking with friends and want to be at the same table, please make the reservation under one name. Wine club members will receive their respective discount on bottles of wine purchased with your meal. Pizza on the patio is an outdoor event held rain or shine, under our covered pavilion. During inclement weather, some guests will be seated inside. Please contact us with questions or concerns regarding dietary restrictions or special requests. Gluten free and dairy free options are available with advanced notice.

We have limited seating. We kindly ask that you call and cancel 24 hours before the event. No shows will be charged $25/person.
