Center for Mark Twain Studies at Elmira College

The Center for Mark Twain Studies offers visitors the opportunity to experience all things Mark Twain, from a place he and his family called home for more than 20 summers. The CMTS offers visitors the opportunity to visit several Twain sites on the Elmira College campus, including the octagonal study where Twain wrote his most iconic works, the Mark Twain Exhibit located in the Gannett-Tripp Library, and multiple statues of both Mark Twain and his beloved wife and EC alumna, Olivia Langdon Clemens. In addition, CMTS hosts public events throughout the year, including lectures, workshops, and an annual writing contest.
