Finger Lakes Events Calendar

Festivals, Happy Hour, Live Music, Theatre, and More!

It doesn’t matter what your interests are or who you’re in the Finger Lakes with, you can always find a great event to enrich your time in the region with those you care about.

Events take place all year round in the Finger Lakes region. From lakeside (and on the lake) events in the summer to harvest activities in the fall, snowmobiling or snowshoeing in the winter, and festivals in the springtime! Step inside a glassmaker’s studio to blow your own glass, stroll Main Street on a food tour, or gather for live music and theater performances. Browse the list of Finger Lakes events below or search the specific dates you will be visiting to see everything going on in the region.

Great Events that Happen Every Year

Below, you will find dozens of great events happening throughout the year with many of them happening annually. If you have memories of favorite annual Finger Lakes events from childhood such as cardboard boat regattas, hot air balloon festivals, cheese, apple or pumpkin festivals, to name a few, it’s likely that event that still takes place or, has likely improved your enjoyment. If you see a special event that piques your interest but can’t make it, click on the event anyway, it might be coming back next year!

Events Added Daily

Make sure to check back frequently to see if any other great events have been added. Events are added daily by businesses from every sector and interest so if there is nothing that sparks your interest now, there very well could be soon!

Maple Sugar Festival
Maple Sugar Festival

Gather family and friends...for a safe, socially distanced outing together! Start your adventure at our Sugarhouse where the evaporator transforms sap into thick, amber maple syrup. Then, journey to the 19th century to see the techniques and tools that early settlers used to collect sap and make maple sugar. Savor tales of maple sugaring origins with Haudenosaunee storytellers Tonia Loran-Galban and Perry Ground at the Village Square Stage, try your hand at tapping a tree, or making tallow candles in the Historic Village.

Calling maple foodies...to try the new Maple Fat Ox Ale made from GCV&M’s historic recipe in conjunction with Flying Bison Brewing. Learn how to make sugar-on snow, and visit the Confectionery for historically-based sweet treats. Stop by Foster House to discover 19th-century domestic uses for maple sap. The Depot Restaurant will be serving our special maple cotton candy and maple-bacon pizza. Bring a taste of your visit home with maple products made from GCV&M’s own Sugarhouse!

Be one with nature! Hike the Nature Center’s Maple History Trail to the drip, drip, drip of running sap. As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship you can learn about sugar maples, and the collection techniques we employ to keep our sugar bush sustainable. Indulge in our guilt-free pancake breakfast (reservations required) - we’ve partnered with Impact Earth to ensure a minimal waste experience!

Please note: Due to weather conditions, handicap accessibility may be limited. Scout-friendly.

At the Nature Center and in the Historic Village you can also:

  • Stop by Livingston-Backus for a taste of something maple-licious
  • See how villagers preserved food before the invention of refrigerators
  • Pickup a take-and-make tin ornament kit ($)
  • Visit village tradesmenn like the Cooper or Tinsmith
  • and more!

The Sugar Shack, Nature Center, and Historic Village OPEN AT 10 am and will CLOSE at 3 pm.
